A lonely little book mobile

she only came by once a week

there wasn’t much to choose from

in the sixties

Larry and Betty moved to town

looking for space as they were looking around

why don’t y’all move over to the old

quonset hut

I hear its your anniversary

I hear you’re turning forty

If you’re ever looking for me

I’ll be down at the library

And so she moved to the old stone jail

20 tons of rock hauled pail by pail

you can lock up those books but my mind

remains free

In 97 the vote was approved

it passed by a margin of only two

for a 20,000 square foot facility

down on pacific

I hear its your anniversary

I hear you’re turning forty

If you’re ever looking for me

I’ll be down at the library

I hear it’s your anniversary

I hear you’re turning forty

I came to ski

and stayed for the library
